Omni Ventures Inc. is a consortium of agricultural producers and other private or public sector partners whose purpose is to act on opportunities which will add value through the processing and/or marketing of locally produced agricultural products and improve the economic vitality of the region. Omni Ventures, Inc. was formally incorporated on May 17, 1999 through the efforts of six southwestern Illinois county Farm Bureaus.

Identify and develop ways of adding value through processing and marketing agricultural commodities to improve the rural economy.

1. Add value to agricultural commodities through processing to
     gain profit from end products.
2. Establish processing operations to enhance net income.
3. Develop joint processing and marketing structures with
     industry when possible.

Omni Ventures currently consists of producers from Bond, Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, St. Clair, Adams, and Christian counties. The members are now working with various agencies to explore the possibilities of value added processing, direct marketing, and producing alternative crops.
